PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component and a method for quick replacement of a refiner plate to solve such a problem that a refiner plate segment for use in refining lignocellulosic material requires long exchange operation time for each segment of refiner plate, while it is an important component of refining equipment and an abrasion part to be periodically changed.

SOLUTION: An assembly of a refiner plate carrier 110 including a mounting mechanism to be mounted on not on a rotor disk 104 or a stator disk 102 but the refiner plate 108 is attached to the rotor disk 104.
