PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tree felling machine enabling a worker to easily and safely perform tree felling work in a stable posture. SOLUTION: In this tree felling machine, a reduction reciprocating motion device 3 which has a reducing gear mechanism and a rotary reciprocating motion-changing mechanism is arranged below a rotary blade 1 which is attached to a rotating shaft (A) of the lower end of a grass cutter body K, and a one-edged or two-edged band plate-like saw blade 2 is forward horizontally projected from the reduction reciprocating motion device 3.
