PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized pneumatic type linear gripper composed of a limited small number of components and capable of being assembled extremely simply. SOLUTION: The linear gripper is equipped with a piston 12 moving in a chamber 15 alternately and a pair of sliding gripper jaws 13 coupled with the piston 12 and moving in opposite directions with respect to each other. The body of the gripper is integrated by two elements 14 coupled to each other facing each other in order to form simultaneously the chamber 15 and a slide guide 16 for jaws 13.
