PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of handling various sheet sizes and restraining skew delivery in paper feeding carriage from pickup to separation. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device to store a plurality of sheets by loading them and to feed the sheets after picking up and separating them has a plurality of paper feeding means arranged in plurality in the cross direction of the sheets, to deliver a piece of the sheets from a loaded bundle of the sheets and to feed it, and at least one paper feeding means out of a plurality of the paper feeding means is furnished with a sliding means to slide and move in the cross direction of the sheets.
