摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension arm for a vehicle where dimension accuracy and torsional rigidity required for a connecting end part to a vehicle body structure side or an axle side are obtained, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The suspension arm 1 for the vehicle with an upper surface part 14 and a lower surface part 15 connected by at least two side wall parts 16, 17, is formed by a secondary processing from a hollow aluminum alloy-made extruded shape having an approximately quadrangle cross sectional shape uniform in the longitudinal direction. The one end part 11 of the extruded shape 1B is segmented by a slit-shape notch part 110 extending from the edge end to the central part in the width direction to the longitudinal direction, and both side parts 111, 112 are butted by a bending processing from both sides having a deformation allowance of the notch part and constituted to be a narrow width. A cylindrical connecting member 71 is inserted into a through-hole 10 passing through the respective side wall parts at both side parts of the narrow width, both end parts 71a projected from the respective through-holes of the connecting member to the side part are expanded, and both side parts are integrally connected by caulking the expanded end parts 71c.
