PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll having high grip force to a washed surface and excellent performance in removing liquid from the washed surface. SOLUTION: This roll 1 is provided for removing, exploiting and washing liquid such as moisture, the oil content or a chemical component sticking to the washed surface composed of a steel plate, a non-ferrous metallic plate, a resin plate or a film shape, applying tension to the washed surface or carrying the washed surface. The roll 1 has a roll part 2 and a pedestal 3, and the roll part 2 is formed on the outer periphery of the pedestal 3, and is composed of a nonwoven fabric, and linear and/or spot-like recess parts 7a and 7b are formed on the outer periphery.
