摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of accurately detecting a rotating speed, by surely controlling an air gap between a magnetic encoder and a rotating speed sensor. SOLUTION: A rotating speed device 60 for detecting a rotating speed of a wheel has the magnetic encoder 61 installed on the inner ring side of rolling bearings 2 of double rows, and a sensor forming section 62 installed on the outer ring side of the rolling bearings 2 of the double rows. The sensor forming section 62 has core metal 63 pressed in and fixed to an end part of an outer ring 25 of the rolling bearings 2 of the double rows, a resin section 64 attached to the core metal 63, and the rotational speed sensor 65 embedded in the resin section 64 and opposed via the air gap to the magnetic encoder 61. Substantially, an entire resin section corresponding portion 68 of the core metal 63 protrudes from the remaining portion to a metal core pressure contact surface 69 side of the outer ring 25.
