PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel with a rotating speed detecting device reduced in weight, miniaturized, and improved in reliability by preventing direct intrusion of a foreign material into a detecting part. SOLUTION: A sensor holder 15 includes an annular cover 16 structured of a fitting part 16a to be fitted on an end of an outer member 5, a flange part 16b extending inward from the fitting part 16a in the radial direction and tightly fitted to an end surface 5c of the external member 5, a bottom part 16c extending inward from the flange part 16b in the radial direction, and a cylindrical part 16d extending from the bottom part 16c in the axial direction, and includes a synthetic resin holding part 17, which is bonded to the outer surface over from the flange part 16b to the cylindrical part 16d of the cover 16 and in which a rotating speed sensor 19 is embedded. An end part 2b of an inner ring 2 is projected more than an end surface 5c of the external member 5 and formed at a smaller diameter than the outer diameter, in which a slinger 21 is to be pressed in, and the peripheral surface and the cylindrical part 16d of the cover 16 are arranged to face each other with 0.5-1.5 mm of interval between them in the radial direction, thus constituting a labyrinth seal 26.
