PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system for enabling a boot loader to output a message and a boot loader to terminate an OS even if a diagnostic processor fails. SOLUTION: A client computer 1 connected to a server 9 by a OS network 11 connected to an input-output path 5 and connected to the server by a diagnostic network 10 connected to a diagnostic processor 6 has a boot loader 14 for starting an OS, a diagnostic processor communicating part 221 for performing communication between an operating OS and the diagnostic processor to detect whether or not a failure has occurred in the diagnostic processor, and an OS shutdown processing part 225 for outputting an error message to the server through the OS network in the case of detecting that the failure has occurred in the diagnostic processor when the operation of the OS is terminated.
