An infrared induction device (100) arranged on the water tap (8) of a basin (9) comprises an infrared transmitting tube (4) used for emitting infrared ray (10), an infrared receiving tube (5) used for receiving the reflected infrared ray (11), a circuit board (1), on which the infrared emitting tube (4) and the infrared receiving tube (5) are arranged, a shell (3) which contains the infrared emitting tube (4) and the infrared receiving tube (5), an emission lens (6) used for focusing the emitted infrared ray (10), and a receiving lens (7) used for focusing the reflected infrared ray (11). The optical center of the emitting lens (6) is offsetto the left or to the right, thus leading the emitting ray (10) to detour the water column of the water tap (8); the optical center of the emitting lens (6) is offset upwards, thus leading the emitting ray (10) to detour the basin (9). Compared with the prior art, the infrared induction device (100) of the invention has more ideal induction effect, which is economic and practical and has low cost.
