<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large end support structure of a connecting rod having a long life and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The large end support structure of the connecting rod comprises the connecting rod and a needle roller bearing. The needle roller bearing contains a plurality of needle rollers, and a retainer 13 having a pair of circular annular rings 14, a plurality of columns 15 for connecting the plurality of rings 14 with each other, and a plurality of pockets 20 to store the needle rollers between the adjacent columns 15. The columns 15 includes a column center portion 16 located on the relatively radially inner side in the axially center region, a pair of column ends 17 located on the relatively radially outer side in the axially end region, and a pair of column slopes 18 located between the column center portion 16 and the pair of column ends 17. The wall thickness of the column center portion 16, the pair of column ends 17 and the pair of column slope 18 is smaller than the wall thickness of boundary portions adjacent to these portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
