PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve with an insulating coating for electric wires that allows a sleeve body to be compressed during compression of the sleeve with an insulating coating while suppressing the occurrence of breakage of the insulating coating. SOLUTION: The sleeve with a polyethylene insulating coating for electric wires is used to connect electric wires to each other by being compressed via the insulating coating while pressing and crushing an aluminum-made sleeve body. When the sleeve with an insulating coating for electric wires is put into a groove of a dice so as to be sandwiched therein and compressed and if the length of the sleeve sandwiched in the groove is set as W and the thickness of the insulating coating as h, it is set such that W/h is≥3.0. That is to say, the length of the sleeve more than three times the thickness of the PE-made coating is gripped by the dice and compressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
