PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform attenuation control of light and to suppress an optical surge generated by the optical switch when power to the optical switch is disconnected. SOLUTION: An I/O port group 110 comprises an input port and an output port. A movable mirror 151 reflects the light input through an input port 111 and aligns the light to a port 112, and changes the angle of the light reflected according to a driving voltage supplied thereto. A control unit 160 adjusts the driving voltage supplied to the movable mirror 151 within a range lower than the voltage at which the degree of alignment of the reflected light with respect to the port 112 is maximized and attenuates the reflected light.
