<p>A method for obtaining the virtual private network label is provided and the virtual private network is based on the multi-protocol label switching network. The method involves obtaining the VPN route information, and analyzing the VPN route information so that the VPN identifier, the upper level routing device identifier and the receiving label are obtained, and obtaining the forwarding label according to the VPN identifier, the upper level route device identifier and the receiving label.
