PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic medical chart system allowing actual feeling of a volume feeling in a paper medical chart, and having an excellent-workability medical chart volume indicator function.

SOLUTION: The electronic medical chart system is provided with a patient indicator table where a patient indicator of a two-dimensional bitmap with a first axis as a date axis, having a second axis on which a plurality of nursing records or medical chart articles of the same day can be drawn is created in each patient. At least one dot is drawn on the date axis of the patient indicator in response to a record input frequency of the nursing records or the medical chart articles from an input terminal. By displaying the patient indicator acquired from the patient indicator table on a screen, the medical chart volume indicator function is materialized.
