<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent foreign matters from entering into a post-processing device such as a stapler. <P>SOLUTION: A stapling portion 16 is installed on a front side of an apparatus body, has apertures 81 formed in two directions where entrance of paper is allowed on a side orthogonal to a paper ejection direction and on a side in the paper ejection direction, and performs stapling processing to the paper entering from the apertures 81. A shutter whose one end is turnably supported through a shaft on an upstream side in a moving direction of a widthwise adjusting cursor 72 for arranging the paper at a stapling position and whose other end hangs toward a downstream side in the moving direction is installed near the aperture 81 in the stapling portion 16. Since the other end of the shutter 82 hangs when the paper does not enter the stapling portion 16, the shutter 82 performs a part to cover the aperture 81. When the paper moved by the widthwise adjusting cursor 72 enters the stapling portion 16 from the aperture 81, the other end of the shutter 82 is lifted up by the paper with one end supported through the shaft as a fulcrum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
