<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of allowing a user to readily recognize a designated position, the electronic device having a good appearance or texture, and to provide a method for displaying. <P>SOLUTION: A watch 1 as an electronic device includes a dial plate 2, a plurality of pointers 22, 23 and a control circuit that allows the pointers 22, 23 to indicate a specific position on a map (21) by moving the pointers 22, 23 in accordance with designated positional information. Since the plurality of pointers are used, any position on the two-dimensionally developed map can be designated.
