PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information on the number of copiable times in a program list. SOLUTION: A receiver includes: a reception section for receiving program information of a plurality of programs, and copy control information of each of the plurality of programs; a reservation recording section for performing recording reservation for recording the programs on a recording medium; and a recording control section for controlling recording to the recording medium. The recording control section performs control so that a recording destination is changed to a recording medium different from the recording medium when the copy control information of the programs is changed. Thus, the receiver displays information on the copiable times in a program guide, enables a user to select a program having a large copiable times when reserving a program, and plainly informs the user when the copiable times or the like changes according to the recording medium.
