PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus in a clinic in a remote area or in a developing country by inexpensively manufacturing a superconductive coil and miniaturizing the coil. SOLUTION: In the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, the superconductive coil made of a high-temperature superconductive material is stored in a cooling container and the cooling container is filled with liquid nitrogen. The superconductive coil is composed of a laminated body comprising a plurality of either double pancake coils or single pancake coils, or both. Insulation spacers with notches for liquid nitrogen inflow disposed at intervals in the circumferential direction are disposed on the outside of coils at both ends of the laminated body of coils in the longitudinal direction or in the laminated body of the coils, or in both.
