摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal honeycomb using diffusion bonding which can thin the exfoliation materials, and bondability is excellent. SOLUTION: Planar base materials 11 are laminated, further, aluminum foils 3 are arranged between the base materials 11 at prescribed intervals, the laminated base materials 11, 11 are heated under a pressurized state in a nitrogen gas atmosphere, so as to diffusion-bond the base materials 11, 11 between the aluminum foils 3, 3 and thereafter, tension force is applied to the laminated direction, and extension is caused. Thus, a honeycomb core, with the base materials 11 as cell walls, having many cells 21 with a hollow columnar shape which are dividedly formed by the cell walls is formed. Aluminum nitrides are formed on the surfaces of the base materials 11 by the nitrogen gas in the nitrogen gas atmosphere and aluminum in the aluminum foils 3.
