PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overfeeding device capable of overfeeding a film in response to the film holding shape of a film stretching machine. SOLUTION: Wavy holding members 6a and 6b equipped with overfeeding projections, which are plurally held at equal space intervals on annular feeder chains 5 arranged opposite to both the front and rear sides of a film F in such a manner as to circulate in a plane normal to the conveying plane of the film F and which alternately project towards the film so as to stretch the film widthwise, corrugatingly pinch the film F during their motions towards the conveying direction of the film F. In addition, clips 2, which circulate at the same speeds as those of the wavy holding members 6a and 6b and have wavy holding shapes corresponding to the wavy holding members 6a and 6b, hold both the side edges of the film F held by the wavy holding members 6a and 6b.
