PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device or the like, in which degradation in display quality of a display panel and reduction in life of the display panel can be suppressed. SOLUTION: A control part connects each output line to a feed line or a grounding line (step 101). Subsequently, the control part releases the connection of the output line to the feed line or the grounding line when a prescribed time (a first prescribed time) passes after this connection (step 102). Then, the control part connects each output line to the feed line or the grounding line again (step 103). Subsequently, the control part releases the connection of the output line to the feed line or the grounding line to terminate processing when a prescribed time (a second prescribed time) passes after this connection (step 104).
