PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid device for a battery capable of preventing improper conduction of a battery inserted incorrectly into a storage part. SOLUTION: The lid body is made provided with a cathode guard groove 64, into which a cathode terminal 43 of the battery 34 can be inserted, but an anode terminal of the battery 34 cannot be inserted. An anode-side contact piece 54 having a conductive region 54a, capable of conducting through contact with the anode terminal of the battery 34 is provided outside the cathode guard groove 64 of the lid main body. The cathode guard groove 64 is provided with a guide area 66 in which a cathode terminal 43 facing an insertion inlet 36 of the battery 34 incorrectly inserted into one storage part 35a fits itself in a temporarily blocked state. The cathode guard groove 64 is provided with a storage area 67, in continuation with the guide area 66, which relatively guides and holds the cathode terminal 43 of the battery 34 fitted in the guide area 66 by sliding movement of the lid body 51.
