PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester which has rear side monitoring means such as a back sonar detecting obstacles existing in rear of the travelling body and informing a driver and peripheral operators of its existence, wherein, when travelling backward on a ridge end of the farm field or retreating into a garage, which is required to perform retreating operation till just before contacting the rear part of the travelling body to the obstacles existing in rear of the body, the driver can safely and surely perform the retreating operation. SOLUTION: The alarm outputting cycle of a retreating alarm horn 16 for informing the driver or the peripheral operators of retreating operation of the travelling body 2 is changed according to the distance between the obstacle approaching to the travelling body 2 and the a travelling body 2.
