The panel has a body (2) made of particles of pyrogenetic silica, perlit, mineral wool and the similar heat insulating material. A casing exhibits a set of flat sheet metals (1) on surfaces of the body, where the surfaces are turned away from each other. Edges of the two sheet metals are firmly connected with each other by a multi-layered foil (3) from a plastic layer and a metal layer, where the plastic layer is coated with metal layer. The sheet metals exhibit edge-sided chamfers that are pointing together, where the foil is firmly glued with the chamfers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a vacuum panel.
