The tool retainers are provided for accommodating a tool insert (7) in a detachable manner and comprise a bracket, which is operated from a retaining position to a release position. Retaining units are arranged at the tool retainers, and operating pivots (8-11) for the respective tool retainers are arranged at a lower side of the tool holder. Clamping units clamp the tool insert in an intermediate space, and each tool retainer is formed by side walls and a base. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling an operating tool or a machine with a tool insert. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Tool holder for a tool insert i.e. screwdriver-bit, of an operating tool e.g. screwdriver, and a machine e.g. boring machine and electrical screw driller (all claimed). The damage of the insert during the operation with the hands of the user can be hence minimized.
