<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assist system and a parking assist device for a vehicle, capable of notifying a condition to a parking area in more detail to a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The parking assist system (1) includes an on-board imaging means (20) for taking an image outside the vehicle, an outside-vehicle equipment (70) installed outside the vehicle, and including a fixed imaging means (72) for taking an image of a parking area, an on-board communication means (30) for communicating with the outside-vehicle equipment, an image display means (40) for displaying an image for occupant(s) inside the vehicle, and a control means (60) for controlling the on-board communication means and the image display means. The control means generate a synthetic bird's eye image by synthesizing the vehicle-side image taken by the on-board imaging means and the outside-vehicle image taken by the fixed imaging means and acquired by the on-board communication means from the outside-vehicle equipment, and controls the image display means to display the synthesized bird's eye image generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
