<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent irregular image density so as to obtain good image quality by preventing toner packing and by supplying a proper amount of toner to a developing roller. <P>SOLUTION: The one-component developing type developing device has: a developing part having a first screw-shaped conveying member 18 agitating one-component toner and supplying it to a supply roller 17, and a toner layer regulating member 19 abutting on the developing roller to make a toner layer on the developing roller 16 a fixed thin layer; and a toner cartridge part 21 having a second conveying member 22 supplying the one-component toner to the developing part 20 and an agitator 23 agitating the toner, wherein a partition member 25 is arranged between the developing part 20 and the toner cartridge part 21, and it includes a toner throwing aperture 25b and a toner restoring aperture 25a. The developing device includes an aperture part area changing mechanism 30 driving a cover member 28 movable on the apertures 25a and 25b and changing aperture part area, and a rotational torque detection mechanism 31 detecting the rotational torque of the first conveying member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
