PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for authentication which acquires biological characteristic information having high authentication accuracy. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus for authentication for imaging the authentication pattern of the palm or finger of the hand and achieving authentication determination is provided with a palm guide 101 for guiding the palm of the hand so that it can be imaged; finger guides 102 and 103 for guiding the finger of the hand so that it can be imaged; and a single imaging part 104 for imaging the palm and finger of the hand.
