PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber end part shape and an optical fiber end part treating method, sealing holes by controlling a sealing distance from a fiber tip to a hole located part, to a fixed length, facilitating positioning to a ferrule and fixation thereto, and giving a long period reliability, by using an optical fiber itself, without requiring other substance such as glass powder and a curable substance. SOLUTION: This optical fiber end part shape is formed by fusing with heat an optical fiber end part locally, and by sealing thereby the holes in the optical fiber end part, in the optical fiber 301 having the plurality of holes extended along a major axis direction.
