PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively transmit an image file, which is stored on a recording medium such as a digital camera, to another device through simple operation. SOLUTION: The digital camera includes an imaging section 4 for photographing an image, a recording medium 5 for storing photographed and processed image data in a file form, and a communication I/F 1 for communicating with another device in accordance with a predetermined protocol. When a distribution request of an image file including transmission destination information for another device is received from the other device, based on information such as a device ID included in the transmission destination information, it is determined by a distribution possibility determination program 13 whether the image file can be transmitted to the other device or not and in accordance with a determination result, the image file is transmitted.
