PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a conventional spacer in which a dimensional indication is recessed wherein the dimensional indication is difficult to identify when viewed from the side of the indication or a distant position from the indication except when viewed from the straightforward of the indication. SOLUTION: This spacer with an indication comprises a block body 1 in which the outer peripheral edges 3 of a pair of flat surfaces 2 at the same phase are joined to each other through a peripheral surface 4. A recessed part 5 for receiving a reinforcement is formed in the peripheral surface 4 parallel to the axis X of the block body. The surface 6 of the peripheral surface opposite to the recessed part is a contact surface with a form P. The flat surface 2 has a recessed surface 7 the outer periphery of which nears the recessed part 5. The indications 8 such as a covering dimension and a trade mark are vertically formed on the recessed surface 7 near the recessed part 5 within the level L of the flat surface 2.
