A control section outputs a control signal to drive an actuator for rotational direction RY, adjusting the angle of a vehicle seat. In a normal condition, the control section rotates the vehicle seat so as to cause a force to act in a direction in which the force cancels a force which is due to acceleration in the front-rear direction of the vehicle and acts on an occupant. Also, based on signals inputted from a vehicle speed sensor and an X-axis acceleration sensor, the control section predicts that a swing back occurs in the vehicle. Upon predicting the swing back, the control section quickly rotates the vehicle seat in the direction opposite to the direction of the swing back before rotating the vehicle seat to a reference angle. After that, the control section slowly rotates the vehicle seat in the direction in which the vehicle seat returns to the reference angle.
