An optical connector structure (C) has an optical fiber (100) which has a silica tip (120) integrally provided at a laser beam entry end of the optical fiber, a ferrule (200) into which that portion of the optical fiber (100) including the silica tip (120) is inserted and which holds and fixes the portion of the optical fiber (100) in position, and a receptacle (21) which is provided to cover the ferrule (200) and has a large-diameter hole (21b) formed on the opening side and a small-diameter hole (21a) formed behind the large-diameter hole so as to be contiguous therewith. The head end (210) of the ferrule (200) is inserted in the small-diameter hole (21a) in the receptacle (21), and a rear body section (211) of the ferrule (200) is inserted in the large-diameter hole (21b) in the receptacle (21).
