A method of calculating absolute rotation angle, and a device and a recording medium including the same are provided to apply the same detecting method even in case of having various sub gear ratios. A method of calculating absolute rotation angle comprises a main gear member(1), a first sub gear(2), and a second sub gear(3). The main gear member is arranged in order to rotate over 360‹. The main gear member is composed of a plurality of gears. The first sub gear is arranged in order to engage with the main gear member. The first sub gear comprises a permanent magnet(4). The permanent magnet rotates if the first sub gear rotates. The sensor senses the change of the magnetic field which is generated since the permanent magnet rotates and outputs the rotation angle of the first sub gear.
