<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side part impact-absorbing structure for a vehicle capable of enhancing safety of an occupant relative to side surface collision by enlarging a defense range relative to the side surface collision utilizing an inflator of a rigid body without increasing an impact bar. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle 1 includes: a seat 14 on a floor of a cabin; a doorway port 4 on a side approximately opposed position to the seat 14; and a door 9 openably/closably covering this. At the inside of the door 9, the impact bar 21 laid between one side part and the other side part of the door; and an air bag unit 23 are provided. The air bag unit 23 includes the inflator 25 of a rigid body and is arranged near a portion of the door 9 opposed to a seat sitting occupant such that the inflator 25 includes a non-overlapping portion with the impact bar 21 in side view of a vehicle body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
