<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule endoscope or the like capable of surely managing image data without the need of identification information for identifying the capsule endoscope or equipment for transmitting and receiving the identification information. <P>SOLUTION: An identification image including the identification information for identifying a subject is generated by the capsule endoscope. An area including the identification information is extracted from the identification image stored in the capsule endoscope and is superimposed on a subject image generated later.
