PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharging device capable of controlling the consumption of a liquid material in a supply path by carriage, a discharging method, a method of manufacturing a color filter, and a method of manufacturing an organic EL device. SOLUTION: A droplet discharging device 8 relatively scans a droplet discharge head 18 and a substrate 2 to discharge a functional liquid to the substrate 2 from nozzles of the droplet discharge head 18 and includes a plurality of carriages 17 having droplet discharge heads 18 mounted thereon and arranged in a direction approximately orthogonal to a scanning direction and a carriage exchange device 19 for exchanging the carriages 17 in the arrangement.
