PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide design support technology for automatically generating a cross sectional shape wherein roundness of a corner part and a plate thickness are properly set from a three-dimensional surface model. SOLUTION: A design support device includes: an orthogonal plane generation means 11 for generating an orthogonal plane orthogonal to an extension direction of the corner part, which is a plane crossing the corner part; a cross line generation means 12 for generating a cross line indicating a line wherein the orthogonal plane, the corner part, and two planes cross; an irregularity decision means 13 for deciding whether the corner part on the cross line is a recessed state or a projecting state; a roundness display line generation means 14 for generating a roundness display line indicating the roundness in the corner part in the recessed state or the corner part in the projecting state on the cross line based on a decision result by the irregularity decision means and roundness-related information; and a plate thickness display line generation means 15 for generating a plate thickness display line indicating the plate thickness to the roundness display line and the cross line continuing on both sides of the roundness display line apart from them at intervals corresponding to the plate thickness.
