Provided are an instrument dial which can achieve const reduction while shortening the print time, and a method for manufacturing the dial. The instrument dial provided with index portions (5) in the background portions (3, 4) by printing on a substrate (1) comprises an underlying portion (2) consisting of a screen print layer provided on the substrate (1), a first background portion (3) which is consisting of a screen print layer formed on the underlying portion (2) and doesn't include the index portion (5), and a second background portion (4) which is consisting of a digital print layer formed on the underlying portion (2) and is continuous to the first background portion (3) while including the index portion (5).
