<p>In an implantable device (1) to be used in the human and/or animal body for occluding or partially occluding defect openings (2), hollow spaces, organ tracts, etc. or for creating a defined connecting opening between walls, organs, hollow spaces, etc., with a support structure (17) which has a great length-to-width ratio along an axis (x) in a primary shape and has a smaller length-to-width ratio along the axis (x) in a secondary shape, and wherein the support structure (17) has proximal and distal portions (10, 11) and is formed in the manner of a braid and/or tissue and/or scrim and/or net, at least the portion (11) in the secondary shape has a first subsidiary portion (14) facing outwards away from the other portion (10) or facing the latter and, in order to form at least a double ply, has a second subsidiary portion (13) first deploying from the primary shape to the secondary shape and folded back in the direction of the other portion (10) or inwards onto the first subsidiary portion (14). ® KIPO & WIPO 2009</p> |
