PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor for coating which rotates a support shaft smoothly and to provide the conveyor for coating which can restore the posture of a material to be coated after rotation. SOLUTION: A work holding body 3 supported by a moving body 1 is provided with the support shaft 4 extending in a horizontal direction while rotatably supported, a work fixing part 5 installed at the front end of the support shaft, a sprocket 6 coaxially installed at a part of the support shaft, and an index device 8 installed at a part of the support shaft. The index device is provided with a disk-shaped substrate 81, an engaging-in grooves 82 installed at proper intervals on the periphery of the substrate, a locking roller 83 engaging in the engaging-in grooves, and an arm 84 slidable while directing and energizing the locking roller toward the substrate periphery. A fixed chain 7 gearing the sprocket of the work holding body is arranged fixedly along a track rail L.
