PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable battery and its manufacturing method capable of eliminating the mixture of a foreign material into the battery, and appropriately welding a first metal-winding unit with a first terminal-welding unit. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the battery has a deforming process for moving each of first metallic foils 11 constituting a pair of first orthogonally intersecting units 44d, 44e to the outside in a second-radial direction, with the process for expanding the inner diameter in the second-radial direction Y of a first metal-winding unit 44, by exerting a force to the pair of the first orthogonally intersecting units 44d, 44e to the outside in the second-radial direction. Further, the method has a resistance-welding process for pressing the pair of first metal-welding units 44b, 44c to the inside in a first-radial direction, under the condition with the first terminal-welding unit 53 of a first power-collecting terminal member 50 disposed at the inside in the radial direction of the first metal-winding unit 44 after the deformation of the first metal-winding unit 44; and for performing the resistance welding of the first terminal-welding unit 53 with the first metal-welding units 44b, 44c, under the condition with the pair of the first metal-welding units 44b, 44c pressed to the first terminal-welding unit 53.
