<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by enabling a user to operate an imaging apparatus on the basis of his viewing state regardless of a direction of a video image. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has a microcomputer 17 which performs such control that a combined image resulting from combining a video image picked up by a camera 6 and a display image 15 for operation is displayed in an image display face 10 in modes different for each modes by reversing or rotating the video image and an operation command image for the camera in accordance with a direction of an external display monitor 7, which is detected by a direction detection means. Respective positions and directions of operation command images for a plurality of camera operation commands are controlled by the microcomputer so that they are identically displayed for the user regardless of the direction of the display means, which is detected by the direction detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
