PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position sensor for easily varying the output characteristic and suppressing the variation of the output characteristic for each product. SOLUTION: This position sensor 1 comprises a position detection section 2 having a detecting coil 20 and a core 21, a temperature detecting section 3 for detecting the temperature of the detecting coil 20, and a processor 4 formed of a microcomputer for outputting an output signal of a value corresponding to the position of the core 21 with respect to the detecting coil 20 from the detection voltage of the position detection section 2 and detection temperature of the temperature detection section 3. The processor 4 comprises a data table for positioning showing the relation between the detection voltage, detection temperature, and the position on a rewritable storage region, a storage section 41 in which output characteristic data showing the value of the output signal corresponding to the position is written, and an arithmetic processing section 40 for acquiring the position corresponding to the detection voltage and detection temperature from the data table for positioning and determining the value of the output signal corresponding to the acquired position from the output characteristic data.
