PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more proper age display, when an image where image data and age are combined is printed. SOLUTION: The image data and photographic date of an image file to be printed are obtained (step S200), and it is determined whether an age printing mode is set (step S210) and whether the photographic date is before a previously set birth date (step S230). When the age printing mode is set and the photographic date is not before the birth date, the differenceΔymd between the obtained photographic date and the birth date is derived (step S240), and the derived differenceΔymd and preset first to third thresholdsΔref1 to 3 are compared with each other (step S250), to perform processing of one of printing of only the image data (step S220), printing with the number of days after the birth (step S260), printing with the numbers of months and days after the birth (step S270), printing with the numbers of years and months after the birth (step S280), and printing with the number of years after the birth (step S290).
