PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image photographing system, wherein good photographing is done under suitable conditions by determining whether a subject is in close touch with a radiation transformer. SOLUTION: A plurality of pressure sensors 48 are arranged at the casing of an electronic cassette 28, and when a subject touches three different pressure sensors 48, it is determined that the electronic cassette 28 is in close touch with the subject by plane, and this determination result is displayed on a portable information terminal carried by an engineer, a cradle to charge the electronic cassette 28 with electricity or a console to constitute the radiation image photographing system.
