PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine capable of easily checking a needle position and a sewing state from an optional point of view. SOLUTION: The sewing machine is provided with an image sensor capable of imaging a sewing machine bed and a liquid crystal display for displaying the image. When the change instruction of the point of view position of the image is given by a user through the operation of a touch panel (S25: YES), processing for changing the point of view position according to the operation is carried out and a changed point of view position is stored (S26). Then, point of view conversion from a real image actually picked up by the image sensor into a virtual image with the point of view position changed by the user as the point of view position is carried out (S27), and the virtual image is displayed on the liquid crystal display (S28).
