PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken winding speed in winding a strip material displaced in the width direction against the longitudinal direction and to reduce winding slippage in the cross direction of the strip material even when the winding speed changes. SOLUTION: A control part 400 detects first slipping quantity that the strip materials 11 to 14 to be wound up on a winding shaft 101 are slipped in the width direction on this electrode winding device 100. Additionally, the control part 400 computes second slipping quantity that the strip materials 11 to 14 are slipped in the width direction per previously specified unit time in correspondence with the winding speed at which the strip materials 11 to 14 are wound up on the winding shaft 101. Thereafter, the control part 400 corrects the slippage in the width direction of the strip materials 11 to 14 by controlling correcting mechanisms 301 to 304 in accordance with the first slipping quantity and the second slipping quantity.
