The cooler has a water tank (2), in which a heat exchanger (3) i.e. oil cooler, is integrated. The water tank has an interior rib (7) and/or a flow channel (11) for flow guidance of the coolant, where the tank is made of plastic. The flow channel is formed with corresponding width and runs parallel to the exchanger. A height of the flow channel is reduced with increasing distance to a coolant inlet pipe connection. The interior rib running in a transverse direction is provided at an end of the flow channel. A coolant inlet pipe connection (4) is arranged between connections for the exchanger.
